WHEN CAN I SIGN UP FOR OBAMACARE?
You can enroll in Obamacare ALL YEAR ROUND. However, the requirements vary according to the enrollment period. During the Open Enrollment Period, which begins on November 1 and ends on January 15, you can enroll and make any changes to your policy without any restrictions.
On the other hand, the rest of the year is considered the Special Enrollment Period, where you can enroll or make changes to your policy in the following situations:
You applied for permanent residence and received form I-797 (Notice of Action).
You received your work permit or your Green Card.
You changed residence.
You had changes in the size of your home. (married, divorced, had a child, adopted a child, or have more financial dependents)
If, for some reason, you lost your medical coverage.
